In situations where a governmental or other public entity is potentially responsible for the harm, a 'government claim' must be made to the proper entity within six months of the date of wrongdoing or suit may be barred. Again, these time limits vary between states.
Accordingly, during this interim review period, you must take any and all steps necessary in order to protect your ability to bring suit.
